At Bodhi Forest Global, we believe that nature has the power to heal and restore balance to our lives. Our mission is to promote health and wellbeing through forest therapy. We provide a safe and supportive environment for individuals and teams to connect with nature and improve their performance.
Evelyn HO is ANFT Certified Forest Therapy Guide based in Hong Kong.. She is the founder of Bodhi Forest Global where she creates and facilitates restorative programs that promote wellbeing and health through nature connection practices and meditation. Her passion is to support anyone to reconnect to the natural world. She is trained in Forest Therapy, Health and Life Coaching (Ayurvedic health, Women’s longevity, healthy aging and advanced menopausal health), mindfulness, meditation, yoga (Registered Yoga Teacher RYT200 with Yoga Alliance from IIN Chopra), positive psychology, Zen Buddhism, arts in Buddhism, wilderness expedition medicine in polar and high altitude regions and in the field of Healthcare as Advanced Practice Nurse. She holds a Master Science degree in Healthcare Management. Over the past 30 years her love of wild nature has brought her to hike around the world and was fascinated by the forests and wildlife.
Why Forest Therapy?
Bodhi Forest Global (BFG) is to provide guided outdoor healing practice by a certified forest therapy guide to promote mental and physical health, and to improve disease prevention through immersion in the forest environments based on the research-based healing practice as developed by the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy (ANFT) in USA, which was inspired by the Japanese practice of forest bathing (shinrin-yoku).
Stress Reduction
Studies have shown that forest bathing/therapy reduces all stress hormones, including adrenaline, noradrenaline and cortisol that reduce stress mentally and physically, and improve overall mood and mental health.
Boosting immune function
Forest bathing/therapy enhances natural killer (NK) cells activity by releasing anti-cancer proteins, granulysin, to defense against tumors for both male and female.
Improve sleep
Breathing in fresh air and spending time in nature can increase parasympathetic hormone activity and thus improve sleep.
Reduce blood pressure& heart rate
Forest therapy/bathing activates parasympathetic system by reducing blood pressure and heart rate comparable to that provided by anti-hypertensive drugs without any side effects.

Studies shown that spending time in nature increase serum serotonin hormone that boost vigor and energy.
Reduce metabolic disorders
Studies shown that forest bathing/ therapy increase serum adiponectin hormone, reduces metabolic disorders including obesity, type II diabetes mellitus, cardiovascular disease, and metabolic syndrome. Adiponectin also shown to have anti-tumorigenesis activity in several cancers, e.g. prostate, breast, endometrial, brain and colon cancer.
